The working principle of the fire hose nozzle is mainly to use the pressure and kinetic energy of the water flow to spray water at a certain speed and direction to achieve fire extinguishing or other firefighting purposes.


When the fire hose is connected to the water source and the valve is opened, water flows into the hose under pressure. When the water in the hose passes through the nozzle, the flow rate of the water will increase due to the design and structure of the nozzle, and the pressure will decrease accordingly. This pressure reduction is due to the fact that when the water passes through the nozzle, its cross-sectional area becomes smaller.

 

According to the Bernoulli principle, the flow rate increases and the pressure decreases.
Fire hose nozzles usually have different spray modes and angles to meet different fire extinguishing needs. For example, a DC nozzle can spray water in a straight line, which is suitable for long-distance fire extinguishing; a spray nozzle can spray water in a mist form, which is suitable for extinguishing large-area fires or cooling the surrounding environment.


In addition, some fire hose nozzles can also adjust the spray flow and pressure to meet different fire extinguishing needs. When using a fire hose nozzle, firefighters need to select a suitable nozzle and spray mode according to the situation and characteristics of the fire to ensure the fire extinguishing effect and safety.
